A social-first campaign, #BOULTBEYONDJOY, aims to spread the season’s greeting through a series of fun and engaging social media activities that will indulge users for 12 days beginning December 20, 2024, and ending January 1, 2025. 

The series of contests on BOULT’s social platforms will feature an array of challenges that will keep participants on their toes, from musical guessing games and creative storytelling to festive-themed activities that capture the magic of the holiday season. Each contest is designed to spread joy, encourage participation, and allow participants to win exciting BOULT goodies. 

Winners will be announced regularly throughout the campaign, building anticipation and excitement as the new year approaches. The series will culminate in a grand finale that marks the arrival of 2025.

Miranda House Sends Legal Notice to Ziddi Girls Makers Over Defamatory Content

The college administration has filed a police complaint and issued a legal notice to the web series’ producers in response to the depiction of Miranda House in the Ziddi Girls trailer.

Incident Overview

The upcoming web series Ziddi Girls is set in a fictional institution named Matilda House (MH). However, the show was filmed at Delhi University’s Miranda House—also referred to as MH—under the direction of alumna Shonali Bose. The initial trailer received backlash from college authorities, the student union, and alumni, who deemed it a “defamatory and misleading portrayal of the institution.”

Producers’ Response

The controversy stemmed from a line in the original trailer:

“Aaj MH mein padhai nahi, porn chalta hai.” (Nowadays, at MH, it’s not about studies. It is about porn.)

Following public outrage, the producers released a revised trailer featuring a disclaimer:

“This series is a work of fiction. It’s based on a fictional institution and characters. It’s not intended to defame any person, organization, or educational institution. Viewer’s discretion is advised.”

College’s Stance

Despite acknowledging the second trailer as more balanced, college officials continue to demand the following

  1. The removal of the controversial trailer.
  2. Discontinuation of the use of “MH” for the fictional institution.
  3. An immediate preview of the series before its official release.

While the producers have responded with a revised trailer, the original version remains accessible, and no official statement has been made regarding the other demands. Consequently, Miranda House proceeded with legal measures.

In light of this controversy, the college is reviewing and reinforcing policies for future film shoots on campus to prevent similar disputes.

Always eager to help others, their unique perspectives often lead them into trouble. However, their strong friendship, honesty, and belief in each other ultimately help them overcome any obstacle.

In the movie, Nut, Boltu and Chimti end up in a haunted house and what follows is an eerie turn of events. The first movie of the popular family entertainment series will premiere on Sony AATH on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
