Panasonic India announces the winners of the fifth edition of its Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Program
Reaffirming its commitment to empowering the ‘leaders of tomorrow’ with opportunities to pursue and grow in the fields of their choice, Panasonic India, today offered scholarships to 30 students from 19 IITs under its Ratti Chhatr program. The company’s flagship scholarship program is aimed at providing assistance to select undergraduate students, enabling them to pursue higher education at their respective Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.
Present at the event were Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog as the chief guest, along with Mr. Manish Sharma, President, and CEO, Panasonic India and South Asia, and Ms. Ritu Ghosh, Head, Corporate Affairs & CSR, Panasonic India. Currently running in its fifth year, Panasonic flagged off the second phase of the program, with an aim to award scholarships to a total of 240 students by 2022.
Congratulating the winners, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog, said, “I would like to congratulate these meritorious students, whose persistent hard work has brought them here today. Panasonic India’s ongoing efforts to catapult the young achievers’ dreams and aspirations forward with their Ratti Chhatr scholarship program is truly commendable. Such programs provide young students with support in both education and skill development to help them study at the top-ranking institutions of the country like the IIT’s.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manish Sharma, President, and CEO, Panasonic India & South Asia, said, “Connecting aspirations with skills, Panasonic India’s Ratti Chhatr scholarship program is aimed at providing financial assistance to the young achievers to help them with good education and encourage skill development. We sincerely wish that our efforts can help transform these young students into competent and confident leaders of tomorrow. We congratulate the winners and hope that this small token of appreciation will contribute in realizing their ambitions.”
Commenting on the program, Ms. Ritu Ghosh, Head, Corporate Affairs & CSR, and Panasonic India said, “Our Ratti Chhatr scholarship is in line with Panasonic’s motto of providing better lives to all and creating a better and wholesome world and seeks to add to the country’s economic and social development. We want to applaud the hard work of these 30 recipients. The program will enable them to pursue their dream of being part of the most premier institutions of the country. We hope that our efforts will continue to motivate them to aspire and dream for more in the future.”
The 2019 Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Program received over 380 applications, of which 234 applications were shortlisted. Based on an online test conducted, 160 students were interviewed, out of which Panasonic India has chosen 30 winners from 19 IITs across the country through a rigorous screening and interviewing process.

A group show of five wonderful artists namely Inderjeet Singh Grover, Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh, Shalinee Shankar, Muneer Ali Khan,Charoo Shukla
Also , a few wonderful artworks of Triveda Fine Arts Gallery . Their artworks were of M F Husain , Aslam Shaikh ,Dhruva Mistry and a few others .
This show was partly supported by Vedya Partners and Advisors…a leading firm in India for business structuring , setting up new ventures and advisory services for start ups.
The event was hosted by award winning curator Vikram Sethi who recently was a recipient of the Global Peace and Humanity Award for doing Social service to society and for helping struggling,poor artists .
The show is from 19 th January to 26 th January at the Sheraton Hotel ,Saket ,New Delhi at the first floor passage of the hotel . 24 hours display .
The opening reception was held on 19 th January at the Yi Jing restaurant and bar wherein scrumptuos snacks over wine ,was served by the hotel team.
The guestlist at the reception comprised of several dignatories namely Mrs.Aruna Sethi , Ms.Swati Verma , Mr.Sunil Katyal , Mr.Pawan Suri and his wife Priya Suri , Hotelier Lavina Bhatia , Ms.Renee Jjoy, all the participating artists except Ms.Charoo Shukla , other guests Ms.Amrapali , Mr.Karan Pandit and his wife and several others .
Inderjeet Singh Grover ,senior artist with beautiful ,scenic artworks on Banaras and other scenic places . Recently ,he had done a show in London and now doing shows all over India
Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh , a very talented artist from the corporate world . Based out of Kolkata , her works depict Kolkata in full splendour , street scenes of Kolkata and she had in the recent past participated at the Florence ,Italy Biennale .Her works are also with a gallery in Paris and being sold online too
Muneer Ali khan ,one of the new talents from Jammu and Kashmir . Famous for his portrait paintings and Kashmir village scenes .
Charoo Shukla from Amritsar depicts beautiful traditional paintings and artworks depicting healing energy. Shalinee Shankar has beautiful artworks and paints Mandala art and is also an arts teacher .

IPRS Celebrates Cultural Bonds at CISAC-APMA Conference in Kuala Lumpur
This week, royalty collection agencies from the Asia-Pacific region convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the annual CISAC and APMA conference. The event also marked a special milestone—the 35th anniversary of the Malaysian sister society, Music Authors’ Copyright Protection Berhad (#MACP).
To commemorate the occasion, Shri Javed Akhtar, Chairman of the Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (#IPRS), and Shri Rakesh Nigam, CEO of IPRS, presented the MACP Chairman with a stunning marble statue of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of learning and patron of arts and music. The gesture symbolized IPRS’s dedication to fostering cultural bonds and honouring the shared artistic heritage of the region.
During the ceremony, Shri Javed Akhtar delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of Saraswati Devi in Indian culture as a guiding force for creativity and wisdom. He extended his heartfelt wishes for MACP’s continued success and growth, underscoring the unity and collaboration between copyright societies in Asia.
Reflecting on Reflecting on IPRS’s participation, lyricist, screenwriter, actor, and IPRS Board Member Mayur Puri said, said, “This conference is a testament to the unity of creators across borders. By honouring our shared artistic heritage, we reaffirm not just our dedication to protecting the rights of creators, but also our responsibility to enrich the cultural fabric of our region. The presentation of Maa Saraswati’s statue embodies IPRS’s commitment to celebrating creativity and wisdom while building lasting cultural bonds.”

These distinct regions are the main wine regions of Romania .
The event had scrumptuos snacks and dinner and desserts over wonderful wines .
