VOX, aEuropean brandspecialising in ceiling systems, participated inFOAID Mumbai 2025,held on 19–20 Decemberat the Jio World Convention Centre. With over three decades ofexperience in ceiling, wall, flooring, and façade systems, the brand presented a focused displayof architectural solutions alongside a collaborative stall experience shaped bySumesshMenon, reflecting its design-led approach to contemporary interiors and built environments.

Beyond the product display, VOX’s participation was anchored in its continued partnership withFOAID through theArchitecture Ideas initiative. Conceived as a platform to recogniseconceptual clarity and future-focused thinking, the initiative places architects and designers atthe centre of the conversation.

By prioritising design intent and built work over individualendorsements, it supports a design-first approach that engages meaningfully with thearchitecture and interiors community.This year, the initiative introduced a dedicated category titled‘VOX Ceilings as a DesignStatement’, developed in collaboration with FOAID. The category was conceived to highlightceilings as a defining architectural element, often referred to as the fifth surface, that plays acritical role in shaping spatial experience and visual identity, yet remains underrecognized inmainstream design. By spotlighting ceiling design, the category encourages architects anddesigners to explore idea-driven, innovative approaches beyond conventional surfacetreatments.The winning project was awarded aMercedes, underscoring the intent to recognise designexcellence. Spanning multiple architectural and interior segments, including hospitality,healthcare, public and institutional buildings, retail, commercial spaces, and residential projects,the initiative highlights how thoughtful material application anddesign intent intersect acrossdiverse typologies.Through theVOX Architecture Ideas initiativeat FOAID Mumbai 2025, the participationunderscored a continued focus on design-led thinking, supporting dialogue, experimentation,and original ideas that place architectural intent and material intelligence at the centre ofcontemporary spatial design.
