So what’s special about today’s Google doodle? Instead of Google’s usual icon a different doodle is there. Google has dedicated today’s doodle to one of the finest playback singer of India because it’s his 93rd birthday today. His musical career was in the era of 60’s and 70’s. Mukesh chand mathur was his full name but in the Bollywood industry he is known as Mukesh Da ‘The man with golden voice’. He is considered as legend in music industry. He died on 27 August 1976 suddenly on eve of a concert. But his songs continued to release even after his death. He is a great inspiration to the music composers and singers and his melodious songs are still appreciated by music lovers. Mukesh is also popular as being the voice of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. His song “Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai” from film Rajnigandha (1973) won him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer . And he deserves to be memorialized. Though this doodle is only for India. But still it’s a great tribute to mukesh!
