Shreyas Talpade’s directorial debut ‘Poster Boys’, given a UA certificate with just 1 cut

Poster Boys is an upcoming Indian film co-produced and directed by Shreyas Talpade making his directorial debut. The film features Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade himself in lead roles and Samiksha Bhatnagar. The film is an official remake of the 2014 Marathi hit Poshter Boys. It is inspired by a real life incident about three porters who found their pictures on a vasectomy poster. Recently, the star-cast of the film promoted the movie in ITC Maurya, Delhi and interacted with the media.

Shreyas when asked about the casting, said, “I always wanted Sunny paji to do this role because I think he was the best person. Moreover, for Bobby I always felt that something about him is very cute and funny. So, I narrated the script to him and he was interested to do it because this was totally different genre from his past movies.” “As a person and as a filmmaker I have become totally non- judgemental. And I enjoyed directing even more than acting,” added Shreyas.

Sunny on being asked about what made him do the film, said, “I just liked the idea. By far now the movies that I have done, I have never done script reading and all. So, for me it’s an idea always. The idea is what excites the most and gives an idea about how the movie will do. But yes, I always consider narrations seriously.”

Bobby on being questioned about the preparation behind role, said, “I had to take workshops for the proper Hindi diction. And I feel it was really important to do it as I was playing a small town Hindi medium teacher. But the role was very away from my image in the industry, so I wanted to give my best and was extremely excited to do it.”

The world turns upside down for three men, Vinay Sharma (Bobby Deol), Arjun Singh (Shreyas Talpade) and Jaagavar Chaudhary (Sunny Deol), when they find their pictures on a poster promoting ‘nasbandi’ vasectomy. And then, starts their journey of getting humiliated by their families and society; rebelling against the system which landed them in this confusing mess in the first place.

The plot was picked from a news on TV and the storyline was a total different process. There was just one cut in the movie and the rest of the movie is as it is. Moreover, the movie will hit the screens on 8th September, 2017.
