Bollywood’s diva Kangana Ranaut turned into a Mughal Empress for the exemplary designer, Manav Gangwani at the FDCI India Couture Week 2016 on 24th July, Sunday. She walked the ramp in his latest collection titled as “Begum-e-Jannat”, in a rich maroon choli that had a exquisite mirror work. She teamed up the choli with an embroided lehenga and duppatta.
Kangana pulled off her ravishing curls yet again that never seem to ‘bore’ us or her fashion statement. She graced her attire with a bold stylish necklace which added up to her glamour as the showstopper. Gangwani said that it was very comfortable and easy to work with her with her versatile nature. The designer has also styled stars like Hritik Rohan, Lady Gaga, Eric Clapton and Kylie Minogue earlier in his career. His collection hit a classic yet modern vibe on the ramp.
The gala took place at the Lodhi Hotel, New Delhi that captured the era of Mughal Empire without any exaggerated apparel, but very elegantly with finely designed kaftans, lehegnas, saris, sherwanis in vivid shades of black, ivory, navy blue, white and classic maroon. Gangwani also claimed that his collection resembles a visual piece of ‘jannat’ which is paradise that is out to be cherished.
