It was an evening full of art and artists with paintings, sculptors, pottery work were the highlights at the opening of BALLAD OF LOVE, a group show curated by Poonam S Kohli at Open Palm Court Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The exhibition features work by 28 artists.

‘Ballad of Love’ is the theme of exhibition because ballad it is a kind of poem so each and every artist whatever they do, if they do landscape or figurative forms or female or flowers, everything is related with love, that’s why we have chosen the title, says Poonam S Kohli. This show belongs to 28 artists, where 24 are contemporary artists; who are working in field as painters, potters & sculptors. Have also guest eminent artists like, Alka Raghuvanshi, Padmashri Ram V Sutar, Anil Sutar, Sangeeta Murty, Vijender Sharma, etc. This was like a platform for all the young and established contemporary artists to be together and form a nice association. The basic motto of the exhibition is to promote artist and to give them a single platform with Senior & those who are working right now, she added.


The participating artists include names like Roop Chand, Dalip Chandolia, Mahesh, Sanjay Soni, Anita Goyal, Poonam S Kohli, Chander Shekhar, Arup Biswas, Deepti Gupta, Jai Dev, Kumar, Mehmood, Meenakshi Dhiman, Suchi Krishan, Sweenee, Sunil, Aman and Guest Artists are; Ram V Sutar, Anil Sutar, Vijender Sharma, Alka Raghuvanshi & Sangeeta Murty.


Sh. Ram V Sutar, Anil Sutar, Roop Chand, Mahesh Kumar, Swinny Khurana, Shuchi Krishan, Kumar Gaurav, Ghazal Alagh, Dilip Chandolia, Dipti Gupta, Umesh Soin, Harshvardhan Arya, Suniyata Khanna, Smita Singh and many others were spotted during the opening of the exhibition.
