Tubelight Movie Review: Does the Khan brothers will get their Eidi?

We all have been waiting for the pre-booking of Salman’s Eid release with yet another film ‘Tubelight’. And now the wait is finally over as the film has already hit the big screens on 23rd June, 17. When the trailers were out, the film lovers or the Salman lovers had already found out a pinch of the story but the final result is here now.

Tubelight is the remake of American film ‘Little Boy’. It is the story of two brothers Bharat (Sohail Khan) and Laxman (Salman Khan) who were bonded by love. They had nobody to take care of except the two of them alone. Set in the era of 1962 Indo-China war, the film brings out an emotional touch when Bharat had to leave his brother to join the battlefront.

After a while, when Laxman got the news that his brother got killed in the war, he refuses to accept the fact and went ahead in search of him. During the journey he befriends with a little Chinese boy Matin Rey. Matin helped him in providing information about the war and finally Laxman came to the fact that due to some misunderstanding his brother’s name was out in the martyr’ s list which was a great sign of relief for him.

The film completely justify its name as ‘Tubelight’ because it didn’t met the expectations of what Salman Fans wanted.  Even the movie fails to fulfil the dialogue (on audience’s front) which we all saw in the trailer as Yakeen ek tubelight ki tarah hota hai, jo der se jalta h lekin jab jalta hai full light kar deta hai. Because we hardly get connected to the essence of the film which is not a good sign for actor like Salman Khan.

Although, on the acting part everybody was good be it Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, Md. Zeeshan Ayyub and Om Puri. Also, it was the last film of veteran actor Om puri. The short appearance of Shah Rukh Khan as a magician was also appreciable.

The music of the film is already blooming over the people’s mind let’s see whether the film gets the same response in the coming weeks or not!
